Tenue de Nîmes is an Amsterdam-based store, founded in 2008, who offers a unique selection of denim brands from all over the world. They are also known for the unique collabs they offer. The newest collaboration is with their own brand Tenue. and Cone Denim.
Together with Cone Denim, Tenue. has created its most sustainable denim yet. Every piece of clothing has an effect on the world we live in, meaning that 100% sustainable clothing items are not a possibility just yet. Tenue. believes that the most sustainable garments are the ones that last the longest.
Tenue's exclusive capsule collection with the legendary Cone Denim Mill from the U.S.A. is a collection based on the principles of supreme quality. It consists of a contemporary take on the American chore jacket, a Japanese inspired top, and the vintage washed Penn jeans. Each item is available in limited quantities.
This is where their beliefs intersect with those of Cone Denim. Founded in 1891 by two brothers who missed true quality fabrics in the current market. With a legacy of over 130 years it is safe to say that the folks at Cone Denim have become true masters of the denim craft.
Fast forward to today, they have made a certified organic fabric for Tenue. which is coloured with natural indigo, just like they did in the old days. It gets better, the capsule collection was created with a low impact treatment meaning less water, less chemicals, and all items produced locally in Italy.
