Get creative, learn new skills and experience denim culture up close during Denim Days on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October. From personalising your own bandana to discovering traditional Japanese stitching techniques, there’s plenty to explore. Join a workshop, meet creative makers and enjoy a good beer while soaking up the Denim Days atmosphere.
Paint your own bandana with Zunia Pascal
Create a one-of-a-kind accessory in this creative workshop led by Zunia Pascal, a true creative powerhouse. You’ll paint your own bandana on 100% cotton and take home a unique piece designed by you.

Live portrait drawing by Kay van Bellen
Have your portrait drawn live by artist Kay van Bellen. Each €35 session includes an original signed A4 portrait by @kayvanbellen and a copy of The Visual Anthropologist Turns Blue. Kay will also collect a little story about your denim, adding your voice to an evolving visual archive of the people and stories of Denim Days.

Make your own denim bag with Denim City
Give denim a new life and create your own denim tote bag under the supervision of master tailor Jos. This hands-on workshop is a great opportunity to get creative with denim and take home a bag made by you.

Sashiko workshop with Tamara Nieschalke
Discover the art of sashiko, a traditional Japanese stitching technique used to decorate, repair and reinforce fabric. In this hands-on workshop, Tamara Nieschalke introduces you to this beautiful craft, where creativity and functionality come together.

Enjoy an beer at the Brouwerij ’t IJ Bar
Take a break from exploring the market and workshops at the IJ-Bier Bar by Brouwerij ’t IJ. Enjoy a selection of their beers in the studio foyer and soak up the atmosphere with fellow denim enthusiasts.
